玩WOS(斯巴达愤怒),有时看起来像古代战争设置在古代(与许多海军战斗和岛屿入侵我的意思),我想,没有火炮船我几乎失去了一半的完全运输的三列桨舰舰队,WOS的trieres没有“生硬的”能力,最重要的是,战斗太快。
 
 
 
新船:
我开始在新的历史船上工作,作为预览我创造了一个Praetorian Hexareme,它将升级到还添加Praetorian警卫Harpax Hexareme和一个Deceris(但只有船员由火炮,但罗马海军陆战队员会来)罗马(帝国时代)。

Have you ever raged while seeing your hemiolias and triremes getting wrecked by transports? wondered why the "barbarian" versions of the roman 五段帆船 were twice slower? found that naval battles were way way tooo fast? or thought that the Roman and Egyptian navies were a bit disappointing? 
If yes, then you should be interested in this mod :) 
 
Playing the WOS (wrath of Sparta) campaign which sometimes looks like the Pacific War set in ancient times (with many naval battles and islands invasions I mean), I figured that without artillery ships I almost lost half of my triremes/trieres against full transport fleets, that WOS's trieres didn't have the "raw hard" ability, and above all that battles were too fast. 
 
So, with this mod for the vanilla game such problems should be gone! 
 
 
NEW SHIPS :
I have started to work on new historical ships, as a preview I've created a Praetorian Hexareme, which will upgrade to the also added Praetorian Guard Harpax Hexareme, and a Deceris (yet only crewed by artillerymen, but roman marines will come) for Rome (Empire Period). 
 
 
TRANSPORTS NERF, REWORKED SHIP HEALTHS AND SPEEDS :
I have basically changed every single cruise speed and health for all ships of the vanilla game : 
Transports are now very, very weak and will need the help of escort warships to defend themselves. There are now three transport healths :
155 for small "civilized" transports. 
225 for "civilized" transports and small barbarian transports. 
330 for the stronger barbarian transports (remember that greek transports had about 360hps before).
The speeds have overall been decreased by 15%. Some ships have however recieved speed buffs, namely : barbarian versions of Greek, Persian and Roman ships and barbarian warships (for them the buff is very slight). 
All ship healths values have been set to "round" values (eg. triremes get 695 instead of 693), barbarian warships healths have been slightly decreased (by about 100hp). 
Artillery 五段帆船s are now more fragile and slower than standard 五段帆船s. It seems more realistic to me that a ship mounting a heavy artillery piece and transporting its ammunition does not get exactly the same stats as the "normal" ship.
 
 
WEIGHTS AND RAMMING CHANGES :
Now ships are divided into four main categories (those can only be seen in the pack file sadly) on which depend their ramming abilities : transports, "one-halfer" (hemiolias) and "two" (biremes) ships are light; barbarian raiders, two-halfers (trihemiolias), threes (triremes), and fourths (quadremes) are medium; barbarian heavy raiders, fives and sixs (resp. 五段帆船s and hexaremes) are heavy; and finally I created a new super-heavy category for sevens (hepteres) and eights (octeres). 
So what does it change in comparison to vanilla? Heavy raiders and fives were set as medium, so now they are more resistant to ramming from medium and light ships. Light ships damage against heavy and super-heavy ships is now much less, on the other hand super heavy ships are able to sink everything in one or two rams. 
 
 
TRIHEMIOLIAS AND HEMIOLIAS BUFF :
Before, those two ships were near useless : hemiolias due to their light weight and low ramming power, and trihemiolias for having over triremes only some speed advantages. 
Now, with the transports tweakdown, hemiolias (and the good old biremes/dieres as well) will be able to sink embarked land units in one single ram, although don't expect them to withstand Ptolemy's Octeres. 
The trihemiolia is now really the fastest ship in the game, having almost 1 more speed point than triremes, it is now set as a medium ship and not a light one, giving it more ramming power. Hemiolias come a bit far behind but are still second in speed; pursuit ships are now worth the name. 
 
 
MANEUVERABILITY AND "CULTURAL DIFFERENCES" :
Triremes have been slightly buffed in terms of acceleration, as well as hemiolias, biremes and trihemiolias. Now their turning speed in comparison of heavy ships' ones should be more realistic. 
"Cultural" differences are similar to what was done to the Egyptian ships in vanilla : as Greeks and Carthaginians were known for their sailor abilities, greek ships are slightly faster than roman and persian ones, the latter being more "healthy" as it was in vanilla. Ptolemaic Egypt being THE naval power of the time their ships are even a bit faster (but still below what it used to be). Athenian and Korinthian trieres from WOS get a health buff and the "row hard 10" ability. 
 
 
FLEET MOVEMENT INCREASED :
I was tired of taking dozens of turns to make my fleets move from only little distances, so as a prelude to my next mod that will modify stances I have hugely increased fleets movement range. 
Basically before every single ship had 4500 movement points. They are now set as following, depending on the ship type :
4500-5500 for transports. 
from 8000 to 12500 for barbarian raiders. 
8500-10000 for heavy and super-heavy ships. 
12500-15500 for medium ones. 
15000-17000 for lights.
 
 
COMPATIBILITY:
The mod is compatible with every other mod that does not modify the ships in the battle_entities_tables. It will certainly conflict with Divide Et Impera and Radious. 
 
 
CREDITS :
This mod only contains my own work, but I must say that the idea of this mod came to me while I tried to find a naval battle mod to my taste. I tested Volcano's now outdated mod but it was far too slow for me. I then returned to vanilla and found it too fast, therefore I thought I had to create a mod to fill the gap between too slow and too fast ;) 
As usual I would like to thank CA for the game and Steam for its workshop. 
 
 
IS THIS REALISTIC?
Apparently the greek trieres had a cruise speed of about 6 knots (11.112 km/h) and battle speed (max speed) of 8 to 10 knots (approximately 14 to 18 km/h). I don't know if the speed sets I did are of that kind but I did this mod to my personal tastes and it seemed all right to me. If you don't think so, feel free to give ideas of improvements.

First of all for all those that don't know it yet, here's a mod that should enhance your ships look (don't trust the "out of date" icon if you download it, just tick "enable out-of-date mods" in the mod manager) : Realistic Ship Colours. 
For the ones that are playing my Latin Wars Campaign I can only recommend using Improved Naval Warfare as a submod.
